Happy Easter

In the past I’ve always eagerly awaited the Easter weekend – four whole days off work, and lots of chocolate – what could be better? But this year I kind of forgot about it. I didn’t plan to take two days off, so I’ve basically worked my normal hours.
That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy Easter. Yesterday I headed to my cousin’s place where a group of families were gathered to do the Easter egg hunt. I lost count of the amount of children, but there had to be at least ten under ten, who were all eagerly awaiting the hunt. All except for the two-year-old who was a little young to really understand what was going on. He wasn’t at all interested in the eggs!

When the hunt was announced, they were in such a rush to get into the garden that they missed the eggs that were on the patio and we had to suggest that they look there.
I’ll admit that part of me wanted to take part as well. I love a good treasure hunt, so perhaps next year I’ll have to arrange one for the adults.

Today I’m back at work, reading over my latest manuscript. The first hundred pages aren’t too bad – but I’ve got another two hundred and fifty to go. Let’s hope the quality is the same or better!

I hope that unlike me, you all had a wonderful, restful Easter break.
