Relaunching The Texan Quartet has been an interesting experience. I’ve been able to add the information I want to the front and back matter and I’ve been able to choose the size of the print book. In the end I decided to go for a smaller size than the 6×9 that my publisher used. The reason for this was practical – it would be cheaper to ship (Australia has a crazy expensive postal service) and I wanted it to be a size you could easily fit in a handbag or suitcase.

It was also an opportunity to have a little more consistency in the spines of the books. If you’re like me, you love to have your library organised (by genre, then by author), and you want to make sure that books in a series all look the same. The previous 6×9 version didn’t have the titles all neatly lines up, whereas this version does. It’s so satisfying! 🙂
However, if you do have the 6×9 versions at home, but don’t have the full set and want them, send me an email. I have a few copies of books 2-4 in the 6×9 format.
